Silver Shells St. Croix 704

We always love staying at Silver Shells, but this time was probably our best resort experience. The condo was beautifully decorated and so clean. The condo had plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, trash bags, hangers, etc. With the hurricane weather, they were very communicative. Overall, very impressed, and plan to book again!

We haven't stayed at Silver Shell in over 10 years, but stayed here every year prior to that. It's nice to see the resort is as beautiful as ever and is maintained. It certainly meant and exceeded our expectations.

Our family has stayed at Silver Shells some 10 times and I can truly say, booking through Compass Resorts is by far the best way to start off a great vacation. Having everything on site makes checking in and out very convenient. We will be back hopefully sooner than later.

Silver Shells Resort and Spa has been our families favorite vacation spot for over 20 years and this years simply added more memories. The amenities throughout the resort separate it from most every other resort around. Compass does a tremendous job of operation the entire property. You would never know that the resort is quickly approaching their 30th anniversary as newer resorts don’t look as nice or offer the extras.

This unit St Croix 704 was a favorite. We've stayed in many, many units over the years and been pleased. This one really impressed us though with the attention to detail/decor/cleanliness and had all the comforts. We really enjoyed this unit and the level of care and upkeep of it. The property is very nice and clean. Unlike some places we have stayed at in the past in Destin, this property was very clean, and well maintained. The unit was wonderful and we had everything you could expect from a VBRO property. Beds were great and the unit was very comfortable for 7 adults. The pool and beach access was great. We really enjoyed the use of the extra amenities such as the Pickleball and Basketball Courts. We will absolutely be returning to this property.

Lots of amenities and such a beautiful place. Front guard sent us to the wrong place to get our bands/badges, but luckily found the right place to check-in. Such a comfortable place to relax, see the sunset and even walk to dinner

Condo was very nice, clean and spacious for family of 5. The view was gorgeous. Loved having two king beds that were both comfortable. The sofa and chairs are starting to show wear, but still better than most. The aircraft noise from the nearby executive airport is loud at times, but we got used to it. We would stay again at this rental.

Great experience overall. My only suggestion would be the live bands throughout the week. End the shows earlier than 11 p.m. The noise level is too high and makes it hard for adults and kids to sleep. Especially, when you are checking out early the next day.

The entire stay was awesome! The process for checking in and checking out was streamlined and easy. From parking to the elevator to the room was a super short and convenient trip. The condo itself was great. It’s updated and super clean. The view was gorgeous! The pool area is huge and awesome, and it’s about a 30 second trip to get to it. The beach is white sands and is about another 45 seconds past the pool. We went towards the end of summer into fall, and it wasn’t crowded at all. We loved our stay, and we couldn’t think of any negative things to say about the place.

Very nice place. The views and amenities were very nice. Just a few suggestions. We had some issues with one of the toilets. it didn't flush well and I had to plunger the toilet three times. The serviceman was out twice. They said they adjusted the toilet and left. May want to invest in stronger toilets. It was great to have a washer and dryer but the dryer didn't dry well. We had to wash our beach towels every day and could only dry two at a time, so this process took longer than expected. Was told in the listing that there were 2 beach chairs for us to use. I found them in the utility closet and they were kid-sized. Would be nice to have the chairs on the beach that they setup each day included in the rental. On the last day the TV was on when we came back from dinner (we didn't leave it on) and then it wouldn't work after that, like someone had the same frequency as out remotes? Overall I would stay here again. The pools, hot tub and location were perfect. So close to everything you need.

We really enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated beachfront condo. We went during November offseason and there was some window cleaning inconveniences but the property managers were very accommodating. I can see how this is a prime location in the summer months and will try to come back again then.

This is a lovely condo. It slept 8 people and an infant in the enormous master closet. Master bed ridiculously high so us very mature adults slept in the guest bedroom with the “normal” height king size bed and missed the view of the Gulf from the bedroom. Kitchen amazingly equipped. We cooked all of our meals—from BBQ Shrimp to dirty rice. Balcony had perfect view of the water. Fun adventure after covid lockdown!!!

This condo is tastefully decorated with beach shabby chic decor and the view from the balcony is stunning! The beach is turquoise blue and has powder white sand. We had coffee every morning on the balcony and spent each day at the beach and pool. Beach chairs and umbrella were a plus. Walking distance to a beachfront restaurant and not a far Uber from restaurant row and the harbor. We will definitely return!!

We planned a somewhat last minute trip and we were pleasantly surprised of the lovely accomodations at Silver Sands. We were disappointed that the other pool and gym was not open and the beach cabana but overall the facilities were clean, had plenty of parking and was close to alot of restaurants, Walmart, etc. We would definitely go back and stay in the St. Croix building again as we were right above the lagoon pool. Thankfully we also had chair/umbrella accommodations on the beach which were much needed! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (and wish it had been longer)!

Relax.....that's all that was required of us during our stay. We absolutely loved this unit and this resort. From the moment we entered the unit, we were amazed! The views and expansive balcony left us content. The beds were comfortable, the linens were crisp white. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything- including a wine opener! The resort was gated and secure. We had garage parking with gates that closed in the evening. The landscaping was so gorgeous- loved seeing all of the different plants and flowers. We really appreciated the beach chair service. Will definitely consider this unit/ resort for future stays! Thank you!

A wonderful oceanfront condo, great layout, and beautifully designed. The exterior of the resort is very well maintained, including a large feature pool. This condo was gorgeously decorated and well-kept. There was a lot of space to spread out and relax in and it was very comfortable. We loved morning coffee and catching sunsets on the balcony and the beach chair service was amazing! It was incredible having what felt like a private beach to go to every day. The entire staff at Silver Shells was awesome -- from check-in, to pool and maintenance -- everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The resort felt quiet and secure, and the location is perfect, with grocery and big box stores and restaurants nearby. We will be back!

The Silver Shells location is overall clean and the layout is good. The staff at the Compass Resort was nice but the girl who checked us in didn't give us everything we needed so we had to go back to the main office. The gentlemen who was there was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The St. Croix unit we stayed in was excellent. Would recommend this location and definitely this unit!!

Very convenient to all of the "hotspots" on 98. Pool, hot tub, amenities all top notch. Unit decorated very nice. Perfect set-up for 2-3 adult couples, or a family of 4-6. Beautiful views of the Gulf, main lagoon pool. Will be staying here again.
