Miles Chew

Marketing Manager

Our resident Patron Saint of Memes, Professional Polemicist, Lead Barista, and Marketing Manager Miles Chew is the essence of what we at Compass Resorts strive to be. He’s always lending a helping hand, asking what could be done better, and working toward smarter solutions. An aspiring Data Storyteller, he's always looking for how everything works together. “I love to listen to the stories the numbers tell,” he’s said. “Every KPI (Key Performance Indicator) and statistic weaves a narrative about every decision previously made as well as gives me insight for making future decisions. It’s very much a combination of mystery solving, chess, and gambling all wrapped together.”

An all-around game changer, Miles has made everyone’s job easier since joining the Compass family. And, after helping someone, he occasionally makes them cookies. But, maybe that’s just because baking from scratch is one of his personal passions. But then again, his other passions include reading, playing the bass, watching anime, photography, and creating a better world for his future children and their generation.

Alternate Dream Job: NFL Statistician, Professional Data Storyteller, Wedding or Nature Photographer

Favorite Songs:  As a self-proclaimed music connoisseur, here are his favorites, in order, right now.

  • “SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE” – Tyler, The Creator
  • “Lust” – Kendrick Lamar
  • “p.r.i.d.e i.s t.h.e d.e.v.i.l” – J. Cole
  • Them Changes” – Thundercat

Favorite Quote: “We don’t always control what happens to us. But we always control how we interpret what happens to us, as well as how we respond. Whether we consciously recognize it or not, we are always responsible for our experiences. It’s impossible not to be. Choosing to not consciously interpret events in our lives is still an interpretation of the events of our lives.” – Mark Manson

How do you enjoy your free time? "I enjoy playing board games (Betrayal at House on the Hill and Pandemic are my favorites), teaching my cat weird tricks, and creating my own homebrewed D&D campaigns with my awesome wife and friends."
