We realized upon arrival that we had actually stayed at this exact property a few years ago! The property was in excellent condition, much like it was when we stayed last time. Very clean and cozy! Great location with two swimming pools and a private beach access. We enjoy having the larger pool rather than staying directly on the beach with a small pool (or no pool at all). Plus, the walk to the beach is not very far and it’s a beautiful, private beach access.

Room was clean and in great condition. It had everything that you could need. You do not need to bring a thing. Beautiful view. Even though the property is not directly on the beach, the walk is short. The property itself is well maintained.

Loved the condo! Very clean, nicely decorated and furnished! Very comfortable for four adults. Great location and a short walk to both pools and ocean. Main pool could have had more lounge chairs though. The room supplied beach chairs were very nice. We’ll be back…from York, PA.

First time at Destin and the beaches did not disappoint! The condo was just as described. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Close to shopping (Wal-Mart, Target, Winn Dixie) and many eateries. Pool was not heated, but very convenient to the condo. You could watch the pool from the balcony and see the Gulf just beyond. One concern, the complex is in the flight path for several planes daily. Anyone sensitive to sudden, loud noises would not be comfortable here.

This condo really felt like a home away from home. It was centrally located close to everything. I love the convenience of the beach along with a restaurant right behind the property. There was an issue with the signal of one tv and Compass sent someone immediately. The beds in both bedrroms slept like a dream and the comfortable was a-mazing. I will definitely be renting this place again when I return!

This is truly a lovely condo and facility. The photos and description are pretty accurate. It’s a 5 mins walk to your beach chairs from the condo & a 2-3 min walk to the pool. The building has multiple hotel luggage carriers to get everything from the car up to the room easily. The room itself has 2 backpack like beach chairs plus a few good beach toys for the kids. If you don’t want to take a bunch of beach stuff, you can reserve chairs & an umbrella daily for your entire stay. It’s $50/day from 9am-5pm & well worth the connivence if you’re flying or driving in with limited space. There’s also no real need for a wagon since we were able to carry everything to the beach with a single beach bag daily. I do recommend bringing beach towels as the unit only has white hotel like towels. There are plenty of the white ones to use but not very large for the beach. The primary shower does have very low water pressure washing my hair was difficult and a long process. The secondary bed wasn’t comfy but the primary was better. Both springy and could use an upgrade. The appliances were easy to use and very effective, especially the washer & dryer. Each room has their own tv with apps so you can log into your streaming accounts. Make sure you take all condiments, paper towels, toilet paper etc as they have zero food in the unit but has a starter pack of everything else. Publix is a great grocery just down the road that holds the rest. Overall we would stay here again.

My husband and 3 year old stayed here with my parents. We all enjoyed our stay and the place was clean and well kept. I would stay again. The only thing I think could improve is the dryer. It may need a vent cleaning because it takes a very long time to dry the clothes. Even when the cycle is complete the towels were not fully dry. Otherwise everything was nice!

Remodeled unit, very nice. Sterling Shores is a great blend for beach and pool activity. 3 minute walk to the beach from the building. One of the better pools in a larger Destin resort environment. The Back Porch Restaurant and Candy Shop (for fro-yo) are 2-3 minutes...love both of these spots! One thing to mention is to allow the refrigerator 24 hours to reach cold enough temperatures prior to using for perishable items. This is due to being shut off and cleaned prior to our arrival. I suggest going to the store after you spend 1 night in the unit to make sure all is good :)

Check in was flawless. Extremely clean property and perfect location. Close to the end elevators, which made it easy for transporting luggage. It was a bit noisy, we could hear everything but not at sleeping hours so it wasn’t too bad. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great unit...fourth floor, nice view (without being at the top of the building, which I don't care for), very well appointed with newer furniture and all the kitchen items one could want. Looks like it's been remodeled in the past year or so...if not, then in it's in great shape for its age. The location is great...an easy/short walk to the beach (all while on the Sterling Shores property). It's a gated property with ample parking, and easy access to the main east-west road, with lots of retail and restaurants close by, yet private. There's a beautiful pool (albeit unheated) and grounds. My only negatives (and they are nit-picking) were that the TV remotes are incomprehensible, and there are no instructions...so we spent a few days unable to watch the big screens before we accidentally came upon the solution; and the door to the balcony from the master is inoperable (or the lock is hitting something in the frame). But this was hardly an inconvenience. Overall, a great place to stay for 2-4/5 people

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was updated and clean and it’s conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. WalMart is maybe 5 minutes away. The restaurant, The Back Porch is literally on the back porch! The views overlook the pool, The Back Porch and the ocean. We will be staying here again!

We loved the condo! We loved the furniture on the balcony. The condo was very nice and was updated. There was a small leak in the kitchen during our stay but the owners were AMAZING and completely compensated for that small issue. Would definitely stay here again! 10/10 would recommend.

The booking experience was super quick and easy! When it came time to check in, we had some communication issues with the property manager that we had not experienced prior to check in day. She was always available to respond quickly and so helpful so this was a bit of a surprise. Ellen, the condo owner, reached out personally to ensure we were taken care of. She was also very friendly and understanding and certainly wanted to make sure we were happy. Overall, our stay was amazing. The location is perfect. The private beach access and two pools were excellent for our 5 year old. The condo had everything we needed. We loved this condo and we will definitely book this property again in the future. We highly recommend Sterling Shimmer for your vacation in Destin! 💕

This by far has been the best place to stay. The rental is just as pictured. I was thankful for beach items provided for the guests such as beach chairs and beach toys for kids. The view from the balcony is amazing. Also, the condo is located in a great spot because it is close to many attractions, restaurants and shopping centers.

Everything about this condo was fantastic and luxurious! They did a great job remodeling and every room looks so clean and fresh! Communication with the owner was great and they were super helpful with restaurant recommendations! I loved the details in what they provided such as an air mattress, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys for kids, boogie boards, etc. I would definitely recommend this condo!

We just completed our stay and it was an amazing trip. The Sterling Shimmer condo was newly renovated and very nice and clean. The view from the balcony was so nice to have! Sterling Shores complex as a whole is a great property. It’s very private and you feel like you are at a resort! We will definitely stay here again!
