Destin on the Gulf 204

This property was beautiful; however, the unit does show its age in places. The guest bedroom window faces the elevator, and the noise and lights at night show through the blinds. The location is great; the pool area was very clean, and the private beach was incredible. We had to evacuate because of Hurricane Isaias, and the host kept us informed about what to do. Overall, I would return to the property

We had a wonderful time at this condo. Any questions I had were answered quickly and they were very helpful. I would definitely stay at this property again.

The condo was as advertised. Clean, accurately described and perfect for our Family of four. Great location and easy access to the beach. Beach service was great and the beach itself was not overcrowded. The pool was clean and well maintained and the location is excellent. We would visit again and have discussed how much we liked staying here. Easy, clean, great location and amenities were all we needed.

It was clean and very nice we have stayed at other resorts before in Destin and this was perfect. Pool right below us beach in the distance. They have a little area you can leave beach items. We will definitely be coming back. My only complaint was no washer and dryer in the room. They do have them but make sure to bring quarters bc it’s 5 for a wash and dry. I wish they had a way to get quarters near by.

Everything was as pictured and more! They had everything you needed. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need. ALL the TVs were smart TVs, and the wifi was amazing. My oldest brought his gaming setup and had no connection issues. The view from the master bedroom and the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooked the pool. Communication with the host was amazing as well. They got back to me almost instantly. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is so cute. And we enjoyed that it was in a quiet area of Destin yet still close to everything. The dishwasher had some mold and they came out the next day and cleaned it and the very friendly lady who did it said she would recommend a new one to her manager. There was also mold on the bottom of the living room curtains and they wanted to replace them while we were there! Very prompt and efficient. The actual condo was very cute and clean. Master bedroom has a view of the Gulf and pool. Other bedroom faces outdoor hallway and elevator. Overall satisfied with our stay and Compass resorts response to our issues.

We booked last minute and had such an amazing time. The unit was spacious and appeared just as photographed. The king beds were comfortable and fantastic. The balcony was the icing on the cake and we could see dolphins. It was magical and we are looking to staying again. Only downside was the laundry outside of the unit, the quarter dispenser was broken, but you could pay with an app so we figured that out.

Pleasantly surprised at the very well kept building. Our unit had great kitchen accessories, plenty of towels, and overall very nice furnishings. Three things that could be improved: 1. Need better, more consistent internet service 2. Second bedroom t.v. needs to be replaced with a larger screen size one 3. T.V. apps would be good so guests could log in and access more/better movies using our own netflix, other accounts The property, pool and beach access was all very good! My niece and I have stayed many other places, but we will definitely return to this one!

We have found Destin's hidden gem! Our family of 5 spent a week at this property & let me just say, it was hands down the best vacation we have ever had! We loved the small, intimate feel to the resort & especially the fact that it was gated & super convenient to all the restaurants & activites we enjoyed. Online check-in/check-out was a smooth, quick process and we loved the fact that we had codes for the door and gates, so no need to keep up with cards/keys during the stay. Everything was clean and well maintained. We were just a couple skips to the beach... & my, my was it a beautiful view!! Beautiful, soft, white sand leading to the gorgeous, clear, emerald green ocean. We were in awe of how beautiful the water was. We never had a problem finding a nice spot to set up our tent & enjoy the views all day. The pool was always a favorite for our crew & it was never crowded. We actually had it all to ourselves several times during the week. Our condo was so spacious and accommodating and perfect for our family's needs. We had beautiful ocean views from the master bedroom and the living room balcony. With that being said, and not to take away from the wonderful experience we had, if I have to throw anything out there for possible improvement it would be these small things: 1. The bathroom tile in the showers need replaced 2. We were a bit taken aback by the sticky mouse traps that were left in the kitchen. My daughter actually stepped on one & it was a mess getting it off her foot. 3. There was no washer and dryer in our unit. This typically wouldn't be too much of a concern for us, but there weren't many towels and washcloths to begin with, & when we asked the front desk for replacements, we were told they didn't do that. So, we had to spend time and money washing towels during our stay. But, it wasn't so bad because the laundry facilities were straight across from our room. Overall, this was a perfect summer getaway for our family & we will definitely be returning in the near future!! Thanks Compass Resorts for the amazing hospitality!! 👏

Room 204 is right above the pool. Great view, but some pool noise. Would be nice if condo had beach chairs, umbrella for guests to use. Elevator is right across from room and so is the laundry room. Convenient and didn’t hear noise.

We were delighted by the unit! Very clean! Master bedroom needs new shade. Master bath tub needs attention, no gray bar and very old faux! Kitchen needs better dishes and glassware! All in all, super!!

We were so pleased with this condo. We decided to stay another night and the operator was so helpful. Would certainly recommend.

Marlania J. - Posted: 10/6/2020

Easy access to the beach. There is a present of roaches in the property, some light bulbs are burnt out, one of the dining chair was unsafe, & the masters bathroom sink sidewall needs attention.

Guillermo M. - Posted: 9/10/2020

We loved our stay! Beautiful view, nice clean condo! Blinds in the bedroom need updated but overall amazing, we will be back for sure! We tried to book again a month later but was booked! Such a short walk to the beach! Loved the gated entrance to the location and Also beach.

This property was as listed. Great view of the beach from the balcony. Property is very clean. Kitchen is nice sized and well stocked. Only wish the table seated 6 instead of just 4.

On beach, nice pool. Beautiful condo

Jennifer F. - Posted: 7/8/2019

This is the second time we've stayed at Destin on the Gulf. We came back for many reasons. The people are super friendly and helpful. It's convenient, yet quiet and isolated.

Susan S. - Posted: 11/16/2018

We enjoyed our stay and the condo was a really nice place to be for our week visit with our family. The only thing I could really say negative would be the toaster needs to be replaced. It burns the bread every time on bottom left side. Could possibly be a fire hazard.

Deborah R. - Posted: 7/16/2018

Love love love the view !!!! Definitely a highlight of this property. This condo is set up perfectly for two couples. Outside of a few minor issues, overall we had a great stay !

Vicki S. - Posted: 5/7/2018

Older building and nicely maintained

Our family loved Destin on the Gulf and will be coming back!

Caprice H. - Posted: 7/12/2017

Compass resorts gave us a fantastic upgrade since they were repairing the unit we reserved. A representative called the day of our reservation to ask if we would stay at Silver Beach Towers for our inconvenience. Boy, was this worth it! Compass Resorts will treat you right! Ellen Ferris

The condo was perfect. The minute you walked in you were welcomed by the ocean view. It was really breathtaking. Me and my wife had got married in destin the year prior and we wanted to come back just us with our daughter and our cousin for a smaller, relaxed, enjoyment of destin. This condo served that purpose and more! The walk to the beach couldn't have been simpler and the access to the unit from the parking lot was really easy as well. Everything was in working order and comfortable. They allowed us to check in almost 4 hours early because the room was available which was really awesome of them. If I could change anything I would change the chairs on the balcony, but that's not even a big deal. Overall the place was wonderful and I will definitely be back to stay there again. It was such a pleasant experience. Destin is the most beautiful place I've ever been to, and the condo and concierge made the experience that much better!

Love this condo!! Had everything that we needed our wanted. Pool and beautiful beach access. 5 min drive to harbor. Clean and well maintained.

April S. - Posted: 9/1/2015

Went here with my boyfriend for a late summer getaway/our first official trip together :) Loved It !!. The property is so close to the beach that if felt like you could touch it :) Parking was good (not sure how it would be during peak season) It is convenient to restaurants and other attractions. The time of year we went it was quite and very intimate. I would definitely recommend this property.

It was a nice place to stay. Had a great time. Beautiful ocean. The only issue was the loud elevator directly across the hall. I'm interested in visiting again.

Beautiful view and condo! The condo was great and the complex was so fun. The pool area was clean and well taken care of. You could rent chairs on the beach right in front of the condo! We loved it.

Fun in the sun Nice property - loved the two king beds and 2 full baths. Super easy access to pool and the beach. Very private and quiet area of Destin but close to restaurants and stores. Lots of fun with family - saw dolphins from the balcony the first day. Will definitely go back in the future.

We overall enjoyed this rental property but the condo could use some updates such as new appliances and a larger hot water heater . I couldn’t get hot water in the kitchen and our showers would get cold early in when we all showered in a short amount of time . Overall , these things would not keep us from coming back though . The unit was clean , the beds were comfy , and we enjoyed the property.

My family and I have stayed here 2 years in a row. Close to great restaurants like LuLu’s and The Back Porch. Just a short walk to the beach.

This condo is in a perfect spot in Destin.. a quieter part of the beach but minutes from restaurants and things to do. The view of the beach and pool are perfect. We watched the dolphins from our balcony or the beach every day. The place was clean and well managed, and our stay was about perfect. I only gave four stars because the condo is quite outdated and due for a renovation. In addition the tv in the family room is tiny, and there are only 4 forks, so bring your own silverware.

Our stay in regards to location (on the beach) and cleanliness of facility were great but not having a heated swimming pool was a major setback.
