The museum features the history of the early pioneers from the 1830s on and the history of the fishing industry from seine boats to what is available today. Over 100 fish mounts of locally caught fish show the huge variety of locally caught fish.

Experience the exciting and educational exhibits detailing early Destin life and its founders, while observing the photos and artifacts chronicling the evolution of Destin's Fishing Rodeo. Some features of the museum include historic photographs and artifacts of early Destin and the fishing industry, view the first Post Office of Destin, collection of fishing reels circa the 1900s, memorabilia and brief biography on area Captains, founding families portraits and histories, famous "Primrose" seine net boat built-in 1925, prehistoric native American pottery & points, exhibits of an early Destin homestead, and East Pass Bait & Tackle.
