For over 30 years, the legendary Harbor Docks restaurant on Destin Harbor has thrown open its doors on Thanksgiving Day to serve a traditional homestyle feast — free of charge — to anyone who wants to join. Whether you are a local, a visitor spending the holiday on the Emerald Coast, or simply looking for a warm and welcoming place to share a meal, you are invited.

The spread is classic: roasted turkey, honey-baked ham, savory sides, dessert, and beverages, all served in Harbor Docks' waterfront setting overlooking the beautiful Destin Harbor. Doors open at 11 AM and the feast runs through 5 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the meal at a relaxed pace with new friends and neighbors.

Donations are welcomed to benefit Emerald Coast Food Rescue and Food for Thought — two organizations fighting hunger in the local community. It is a heartwarming tradition that captures the spirit of Thanksgiving perfectly, and one of the most authentic Gulf Coast experiences you will find during the holiday season.

The Sandestin Turkey Trot invites resort guests, vacationers, and locals alike to lace up and hit the course through Sandestin's gorgeous fairways and sun-dappled grounds before the big meal begins.

Choose between the 5K fun run or the family-friendly 1-mile walk. Both kick off at 7:30 AM, giving you the built-in excuse to enjoy every bite at the table later. The first 200 registrants receive a complimentary T-shirt, and all proceeds benefit the Sandestin Foundation for Kids — so every step you take supports children in the community.
