Our “Worry-Free” Policy Exceptions

Sometimes the unexpected happens. That’s why we have implemented our “Worry-Free” rental policy exception. These are amendments to our normal vacation rental policies to allow you to continue planning your vacation with peace of mind.

How is the “Worry-Free” Policy Exception different from the regular rental policies?

Our regular rental policies allow changes without a penalty only if those changes are made before the final payment is due. Through the “Worry-Free” rental policy exception, reservations are allowed to be suspended after the final payment is due, giving you a credit that can be used to replan your vacation should something arise.

What are the criteria for rental policy exception eligibility?

To be eligible for a “Worry-Free” rental policy exception, your arrival date must be before April 30th, 2022 and the need to use the policy must be based on pandemic-related issues and concerns, including but not limited to: 

  • Contracting the virus 
  • Exposure to a COVID-19 positive person(s)
  • New local, state, or federal restrictions that make travel to and from Florida (the state as a whole, or Okaloosa and Walton Counties in particular) prohibited or if travel to Florida requires self-quarantining

The criteria is based on the honor system. We trust that guests who are experiencing extenuating circumstances to let us know about their situation. We are committed to being flexible based on our guests' needs. 

What does it mean to "Suspend" my reservation?

A suspended reservation is a reservation that is temporarily canceled, allowing all payments made (not including Travel Insurance) to be held as a credit toward a future reservation. This credit can be used to re-book for any available dates within 12 months of the suspension date. If the new reservation exceeds the cost of the credit, you are responsible for paying the difference.
